Thunder, Lightning and Lots of Laughter

I’ve been officiating weddings since 2011 and never have I seen it rain so hard on a wedding day. This wasn’t just a little rain, this was a 20 minute torrential downpour with thunder and lightning! Needless to say, this wasn’t what Kristina and Alex had planned for their outdoor seaside wedding ceremony in Cape Neddick, Maine. Luckily, storms like this blow through quickly and with the help of every single wedding vendor and even a few guests, the ceremony chairs got dried off and we ended up having the outdoor ceremony Alex and Kristina had hoped for!

And, through it all Alex and Kristina totally kept their cool and laughed it off. In fact, it’s their great sense of humor that brought them together when they first met. This is how they described their first impressions.

“If there’s one thing that Kristina and Alex have in common, it’s their sarcastic wit. As a matter of fact, Alex said his first impression of Kristina was how witty she was and that he didn’t have to explain his jokes to her. And, Kristina noted that one of the first things she liked about Alex when she met his was his humor and sarcasm.”
