day spas

if you're like me, you don't want to go to a spa or a salon without a solid recommendation from someone you trust. sometimes it's unavoidable, but when it comes to your wedding you probably want to get services done at a really nice place that's clean and classy. if you're getting married in midcoast maine let me suggest a few spas.

beauty mark spa camden | my friend swears by their services. they offer nail treatments, facials, skincare, body treatments, massage, make-up artistry, and hair removal. they have something called the "bride's bliss" which is a 3 hour treatment including a massage, a facial and make-up. um...yes, please! not the least expensive spa but from what i hear they're worth the cost. check out their brochuresave 10% on your visit by using code "SWEETSPA" when you call to make your reservation.

sweet water day spa brunswick | i can personally recommend this spa. i've had a couple facials, a mani/pedi and a massage there. my recommendation would be to get a facial by val. she's super sweet and does a fantastic job. i used to get facials when i lived in california, and this is the best one i've had since leaving the west coast! they also do skincare, make-up, body treatments, and customizable spa packages. here's their price list

about face damariscotta | they offer skin care, make-up, facials, massages, waxing, tinting, and nails. it's a full service spa right in my little town. their make-up wedding package is $140 for the bride and $65 for each bridesmaid. i had a great manicure here a while back and a fantastic facial (ask for jennifer). they also have a location in boothbay harbor.

fabu salon and spa portland | another full-service spa offering: hair, nails, esthetics, massage, and even treatments for men! they do bridal hair and make-up and even offer something called a "couples retreat package" that you can do a few days prior to your wedding. i got a brow wax here and it was great! i have five 10% off coupons, email me at if you want one (first-come first-served).

the endless spa newcastle | my sister goes here for facials and she loves it. the special thing about this place is their "endless pool." it's a heated pool that you can rent for $10/hour. you can adjust the current and it also has hydro jets, oh yea! they have all the other typical spa treatments but no nails.
