This is a very exciting time of year for people in the wedding industry. I recently read that 33% of engagements happen between Thanksgiving and New Year's Day. Speaking of getting engaged on New Year's, if you've been following my blog, you'll remember reading about how I got engaged on New Year's Eve. It happened 10 years ago in the lovely city of San Francisco.
My sweetie, Nick, took me out in the big city. We checked into the Argonaut Hotel and readied ourselves for the night. I zipped into a gorgeous tulle BCBGMAXAZRIA dress, ooh la la, and Nick, all kitted out in a Calvin Klein suit never looked so dapper. We had a fab dinner and awesome entertainment at Teatro Zinzanni (which is now gone) on pier 29. Thirty seconds before midnight, my darling got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! A lady at the table next to us took a pic of this little scene with her disposable camera and promised she'd send us a copy, which she actually did and we have framed on our wall. We rushed out to the deck to view the fireworks and the way they glittered in my ring! What an epic night. It was a perfect evening; just perfect! Ahhh...
I'd love to hear about your engagement. How did it all go down?
