Now that you’re married, you might feel like all the romance of the day is over. Well, I have a great idea of a super romantic gesture you can make to your new spouse: purchase life insurance. Ok, ok, you’re probably thinking I’m crazy and that life insurance isn’t romantic, but hear me out.
Answer these questions:
-
If you passed away suddenly, would you want your spouse to have to worry about money?
-
Do you intend to have children? If so, do you want to make sure their needs are taken care of?
-
Do you have debt? If so, would you want your spouse to have to pay off your debt if you perished?
Did you answer YES to any of them?
Then you probably need life insurance!
Another thing to consider: Are you asset-rich but cash-poor? It might take a while for your assets to be turned into cash after your death, but if you have a life insurance policy your spouse will have money right away because your policy isn’t subject to probate.*

“Showing your love for your family by protecting their future and providing security for them is deeply romantic.”
So, now can you see how purchasing a life insurance policy is romantic gesture?
It just so happens that my husband, Nick Northcott, works for Prudential Financial and sells life insurance! Reach out to him to discuss your options. He’s a great listener and genuinely wants to help his clients. He’s not some smarmy salesman. I love and trust him and you can, too!
