Bursts of rain and laughter

Georgetown Maine summer wedding

Clara and Dallas aren’t just clients, they’re friends. We live in the same community and run into each other in the grocery store. Their gorgeous home used to be a wedding venue, can you see why?! So, when they asked me to be their wedding officiant, I was completely floored and totally honored!

“Do you want to be our officiant?”

“I do! “

Clara calls Dallas her knight in shining armor, and we got a glimpse of that when the rain started pouring down mid-ceremony. Dallas gallantly held an umbrella over my head so I could officiate, thank you, Dallas! And beautiful Clara glowed like a princess on her wedding day. You could say these two are Maine royalty!

As you can see, the rain pelted us before and during their wedding ceremony, but cleared up enough for them to exchange rings, conduct a candle unity ceremony and share their first kiss as husband and wife under clear skies!

The rain didn’t bother any of us in the least, as you can see from the roaring laughter we shared during their ceremony. Their guests bravely witnessed the union from under their umbrellas and raincoats, which just made them all feel even more apart of the festivities. Rain has a way of bringing everyone together on wedding day!
