north haven island sits 12 miles off the coast of rockland, maine. the year-round population is about 350. you probably wouldn't have ever heard of it if it wasn't home to the nebo lodge and the turner farm.
the inn, with nine rooms, is just what you'd want in an island get-a-way: comfy, warm, bright, and clean. the restaurant at the inn is charming yet hip, and the food is flavorful, made from scratch, and gorgeous. the mofga certified-organic turner farm supplies the restaurant with veggies, goat cheese, flowers, and (most of the) meats. everything is beautiful and cared for including the farm and the animals on the farm.
nebo lodge would be perfect for a wedding, or a rehearsal dinner, or a reception, or a honeymoon, or a weekend get-a-way, or a birthday dinner, or for just about any other special occasion you can think of (may through october). you can check the ferry schedules here or charter the equinox to get out to the island.
